Description

Director of Marketing, Sales & E-Commerce

Position Summary

His Glory is seeking a highly capable, faith-aligned Director of Marketing, Sales & E-Commerce to lead and actively execute the organization’s marketing and revenue-growth initiatives.

This is a hands-on leadership position—not a role focused solely on strategy, delegation, or team oversight. The Director will be expected to develop the strategy, translate it into actionable campaigns, coordinate the people responsible for execution, personally contribute to the work, monitor results, and make real-time adjustments to improve performance.

This individual will oversee His Glory’s integrated marketing efforts across ministry programming, donor campaigns, e-commerce, sponsorships, events, digital platforms, email, social media, paid advertising, audience development, and other revenue-generating initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines strong marketing judgment, commercial and sales ability, digital and e-commerce expertise, analytical discipline, and a genuine commitment to the mission and values of His Glory.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Leadership and Hands-On Execution

  • Develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy aligned with His Glory’s mission, programming priorities, audience-growth goals, and revenue objectives.
  • Personally participate in campaign planning, copy direction, offer development, email strategy, landing-page creation, funnel design, performance analysis, and campaign optimization.
  • Create clear campaign plans identifying the objective, target audience, offer, messaging, channels, timeline, creative requirements, responsible parties, call to action, budget, and success metrics.
  • Ensure major campaigns are planned and production-ready approximately 30 days before launch whenever possible, while remaining responsive to urgent ministry initiatives.
  • Coordinate marketing across social media, email, Substack, websites, His Glory TV, the His Glory app, network programming, commercials, Facebook groups, events, direct-response campaigns, and other appropriate channels.
  • Maintain consistency in His Glory’s messaging, voice, visual identity, and overall brand presentation.
  • Work closely with ministry leadership, production, programming, donations, creative, web, e-commerce, and outside vendors to move projects from concept through launch.
  • Establish priorities, deadlines, workflows, approval processes, and accountability across the marketing department.

Audience and Donor Growth

  • Develop strategies to grow His Glory’s audience, email database, viewership, app users, donors, recurring donors, customers, and ministry supporters.
  • Build campaigns that move viewers and followers into deeper engagement, including email subscribers, donors, recurring partners, event attendees, customers, and ministry advocates.
  • Partner with the Donations Department on donor acquisition, retention, reactivation, recurring-giving programs, special funds, Kingdom Builder campaigns, and donor communications.
  • Monitor donor conversion, retention, average gift size, recurring-donor growth, campaign performance, and cost per acquisition.
  • Use audience and donor data to improve messaging, segmentation, offers, and campaign timing.

Sales, Sponsorships and Revenue Development

  • Develop and manage a coordinated revenue-growth strategy across donations, sponsorships, partnerships, e-commerce, subscriptions or paid content, affiliate opportunities, advertising, events, and other approved initiatives.
  • Identify and pursue appropriate sponsorship, advertising, partnership, affiliate, and promotional opportunities.
  • Create professional sponsorship packages, sales materials, presentations, proposals, and follow-up processes.
  • Support or personally participate in sales conversations, partnership development, sponsor retention, and revenue negotiations as needed.
  • Establish revenue goals, forecasts, pipelines, and performance reporting for each major revenue channel.
  • Ensure that sales and promotional activity remains aligned with His Glory’s mission, values, audience, and reputation.

E-Commerce Growth

  • Own the growth strategy and financial performance of His Glory’s e-commerce operations.
  • Develop revenue forecasts, promotional calendars, product launches, bundles, special offers, seasonal campaigns, cross-sells, upsells, and customer-retention strategies.
  • Personally review and improve product positioning, merchandising, product descriptions, images, landing pages, email campaigns, shopping-cart experience, checkout flow, and post-purchase communications.
  • Monitor the full customer journey, including product views, add-to-cart activity, checkout initiation, abandonment, completed purchases, average order value, repeat purchases, and overall conversion rate.
  • Work with operations to maintain accurate inventory visibility, fulfillment coordination, customer-service standards, and product availability.
  • Analyze campaign and store performance in real time and make adjustments to messaging, offers, advertising, landing pages, and merchandising.
  • Identify and resolve issues that create customer confusion, lost sales, cart abandonment, or unnecessary friction.

Digital Platforms, Content and Campaign Management

  • Oversee marketing activity across HisGlory.me, HisGlory.tv, email platforms, social channels, streaming platforms, the His Glory apps, and related digital systems.
  • Maintain appropriate administrative visibility into website backends, workflows, email sequences, forms, lead tracking, campaign attribution, and conversion paths.
  • Work with production and programming teams to promote shows, broadcasts, events, special guests, ministry initiatives, products, fundraising campaigns, and calls to action.
  • Use viewer behavior and content-performance data to recommend improvements to programming promotion, content packaging, titles, thumbnails, calls to action, and distribution.
  • Ensure that campaigns are fully connected across creative, content, web, email, paid media, social media, programming, and e-commerce.

Analytics, Forecasting and Accountability

  • Establish clear weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual goals for marketing, sales, e-commerce, donor growth, and audience development.

    • Social reach, engagement, and audience growth
    • Show watch time and unique audience
    • Referral sources and call-to-action clicks
    • Viewer-to-email, viewer-to-donor, and viewer-to-customer conversions
  • Provide leadership with concise reporting that explains what happened, why it happened, what is working, what is not working, and what should be done next.
  • Manage marketing budgets carefully and ensure that spending is tied to measurable organizational outcomes.

Team and Vendor Leadership

  • Lead, organize, and hold accountable internal marketing, creative, e-commerce, campaign, and communications personnel.
  • Coordinate the work of agencies, contractors, media buyers, designers, developers, and other outside vendors.
  • Clarify ownership, deadlines, deliverables, approval requirements, and performance expectations for every major initiative.
  • Build repeatable operating systems without creating unnecessary bureaucracy or slowing down urgent ministry work.
  • Develop a culture of excellence, responsiveness, collaboration, stewardship, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Step directly into execution when deadlines, launches, or organizational priorities require it.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience establishing revenue forecasts, campaign goals, marketing budgets, performance dashboards, and measurable KPIs.
  • Ability to lead a team while remaining directly involved in day-to-day execution.
  • Strong project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines, departments, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where ministry priorities may require flexibility and rapid execution.
  • Ability to translate a broad vision into clear assignments, deadlines, deliverables, and measurable results.
  • High level of personal ownership, initiative, follow-through, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Alignment with His Glory’s Christian mission, statement of faith, organizational values, and standards of conduct.
